Storage container lids and closure techniques
kela storage containers either have a screw top, a lid with silicone ring or a special click lock with silicone ring. Thanks to the matching lids, food is optimally protected. Which closure technique do you prefer? A screw cap, such as with our Bera range, certainly has the advantage that the lid fits tightly. The jars are therefore ideal for transport, for example if you want to prepare small snacks or salads for a picnic. A lid with a silicone ring, on the other hand, is simple, practical and quick. To close the jar, simply press the lid on lightly and, thanks to the flexible silicone ring, the jar is sealed and the contents are protected.
Tip: Lid with flavour click. Our Arik series is equipped with a special lid. When the small lever is closed, the silicone ring pulls itself to the edge of the jar. The lid now sits very firmly on the storage jars - the contents are sealed airtight and flavour-tight. The slight indentation in the lids is particularly practical, allowing the jars to be stacked for storage.
The materials used for the lids vary depending on the series and are either made of plastic, stainless steel, beech or bamboo.
From small to large – material and size variety

Our large storage jars include jars with diameters starting at 9 cm or bases from 10 x 10 cm. Depending on the height of the storage jars, they have volumes of 1.1 to 2 litres. Large storage jars have a height of approx. 20 - 30 cm, depending on the base area and the desired volume.

Small storage containers
Small storage jars, which are so often used in the kitchen, often have the same diameter and the same base area, but differ in height. Our very small storage jar sets Thea and Rosa have a smaller base with volumes of 0.2 and 0.25 litres. These are often used as sweet jars.

Square storage jars
Storage jars with a square base offer plenty of space and make the best possible use of the space on the shelf or in the kitchen drawer. These jars also have a completely different look. So it's up to personal taste to decide whether square or round storage jars should move into your home. These are available in our shop, including plastic options.
Round storage containers
Round containers are comfortable to handle and look great on shelves. They come with various lid materials, like stainless steel or wood. The new Diana series features ribbed glass.
